Welcome to the August newsletter holiday time is here and there are plenty of visitors to Chagford. Let's hope that this good weather lasts a bit longer for both them and us!

This year for the first time we have been listed in CAMRA Good Pub Guide for our real ales. Following on from this success we have now increased our range of ciders to twelve including local producer Winkleigh Cider with three varieties, sweet, medium and scrumpy.

If beer and cider are not your tipple we also have a range eighteen single malts on offer.

Our new Summer menu's are now available to download.

These musicians get better every time.

Different line up every month, of talented musicians a great chilled evening

A group of musicians from Moreton and around the moor step out of their normal environment, go to the corner of the pub play some acoustic (ish) music and see what happens.

Do you dine at the Globe regularily then next time you are in for lunch or dinner, please ask a member of staff for your complimentary card.

The card will if presented when paying, entitle you to a discount on food purchases which you can take at the time or save up towards a future meal.

Chagford Show 2014 Thursday 21st

A true country show with something for all the family.

New this year, we will be running a Pimms and Wine stand in the pony ring field next to the Rural crafts exhibition. We look forwards to seeing you there.

Chagford Film Club screenings, title to be advised after the members vote.

The pre film meal will be from 6.15pm you will need 45 minutes for the meal so please leave enough time.

The 4th Chagford Film Festival 22nd to 27th of September.

OPEN MIC NIGHT

Last months open mic had a great feel with plenty of performers and a large appreciative audience

The night is made by the performers and it is the consistently high quality of talent that make Open Mic such a fun evening.

Just in case you forget all types of entertainers are welcome. Atmosphere, real ales, and first drink free for all performers.

Why not join the Chagford Conservation Group who meet fortnightly to carry out a wide range of worthy tasks around Chagford, and in the Dartmoor National Park.

Bringing benefit to the people of the town and its visitors – including walkers in the area.
