Our son in law David and his friend Craig have now completed their 630 mile charity walk around the South West Coastal footpath.

To date they have raised £8825 including the Gift Aid contribution for Bliss the UK charity for premature and sick babies.

We are delighted to tell you that with our musical director Jacqueline, the choir are growing in confidence and range. Anyone interested in joining us please come and have a look. If you don’t like it you don’t have to stay.

Alex returns with his extraordinary vocals and acoustic guitar, playing blues / folk / acoustic along with some of his own songs.

Alex will be accompanied by Carl Allerfeldt on violin and Steve Dooley on drums.

His influences include Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Cat Stevens and Led Zeppelin to name but a few.

This is a chance to see star quality early on in his career as he will surely go far. Remember you saw him first at The Globe!

CHAGFORD DARTS GRAND PRIX 2013

(Organised by Ricky James)

The competition will be held over eight consecutive Thursdays commencing on the 13th June 2013 and finishing on the 01st August 2013.

Starting time for each date will be 20.30hrs.

There will a draw at 20.30hrs each night and will include all players who are in attendance and have paid their entry fee of £2.50.

Matches will consist of three legs of 501 straight start and double finish.

OPEN MIC NIGHT

Last month's Open Mic was a massive event with probably the largest turn out we have ever had. It could just be the presence of those talent scouts form the "Voice" but I like to think it is the consistently high quality of talent that perform regularly at these evenings.

Just in case you forget all types of entertainers are welcome. Great atmosphere, real ales, and first drink free for all performers.

Thanks as ever to Peter without whom this event would not run so smoothly.
