"The Kite Runner" is a film about friendship, betrayal, and the price of loyalty. It is about the bonds between fathers and sons, and the power of fathers over sons-their love, their sacrifices, and their lies. Filmed against a backdrop of history that has not been told in fiction before, "The Kite Runner" describes the rich culture and beauty of a land in the process of being destroyed.

At The Globe Inn we host many and varied entertainments including our Open Mic night held on the last Wednesday of each month.
Our newly-opened and licensed cinema will have two film nights per month, showing recent releases and classics .
Live music features regularly at The Globe Inn, with great cabaret and individual singers performing in the lounge or function suite.
In 2010 we are hoping to establish a regular comedy night and welcome enquiries from would-be performers.
Finally, don't forget Chagstock 2010, to be held on 16th and 17th July. Tickets are on sale at The Globe Inn, and we are proud to be a Friend of Chagstock, "the best little festival in the South West" (Ade Edmundson).
