All dishes are prepared and cooked in our kitchen by our talented chefs.
During busy times there can be a wait but we promise it will be worth it!
In normal times food is served throughout the Inn, so you can choose where to eat – enjoy the banter in the bar, relax in the lounge bar or take your time in the dining room.
The menu is pub classics done really well. They use local ingredients and the fare is full of flavour. We also had the best British lemon cheesecake I've tasted. We would definitely go again.
My husband had a pie which he said was delicious and I had the saffron chicken which was also very very nice. They even brought me out a taste of the sauce as I couldn't decide what to have! Haven't been back since but will definitely be stopping by for dinner next time we are nearby!
Wonderful meal after a day of travelling the moors. Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food, welcoming atmosphere and a roaring fire to keep you snuggled and warm. We will definitely be back on our next trip down.
This place is just wonderful, it’s cosy, warm and so very welcoming. I had the roast beef and my husband had the steak and ale pie. Both meals were fabulous along with dessert. Coupled with 2 large glasses of a very nice Shiraz this turned into a wonderful pit stop!
This was possibly the best sea bass I've ever tasted and I'm very fussy. I had cherry pie with clotted cream for pudding and that was equally awesome. The service was really great. Very friendly. And quirky.
